We are hosting a volleyball tournament with all proceeds benefitting the Licking Heights High School boys volleyball program. The tournament will be held at Licking Heights High School on Sunday, November 30th.
This will be an adult co-ed 6's tournament with 2 girls minimum on the court at all times. We have 3 courts available so we will cap this tournament at 15 teams with a cost of $150 per team. All teams will be guaranteed a minimum of 7 games (sets) played.
There will be two levels of play. The upper division will contain teams running 5-1 or 6-2 offenses with strong hitters at most or all positions. The lower division will be less competitive and likely only have 1 or 2 strong hitters.
The format will be round-robin pool play followed by a single elimination tournament. We plan to have 2 pools of 5 drawn randomly for the upper division. For the lower division, we currently are planning for a single 5 team pool. Adjustments will be made based on the number of teams signing up for each level.
The winning team for the upper division will get their money back and each player will get a tee shirt. All players on the winning team for the lower division will get tee shirt.
We are planning to have concessions available and players from the school team will be in attendance to help with line judging and running concessions.
