Trio Guadalevin from Seattle Free Lecture & Performace (suggested donation $20.00)

Viva la Musica and The Academy of Children's Theatre present: Trio Guadalevin. This amazing group from Seattle will weave together a tapestry of music, languages, culture, history, and geography in a bilingual presentation. Selections will include: "Mexico Meets the Mediterranean," exploring the musical dialogues between Indigenous, European and African cultures, and "Mexico Diverso," which showcases son jarocho and son huasteco, along with music from Oaxaca, Guerrero, Michoacan and beyond. They will also present selections from their most recent commission "El Noroeste." El Noroeste is a musical exploration of the historic presence of Latinos in what is now Washington State. Tacos will be available for purchase from El Marino Taco Truck starting at 5:30 in the parking lot with seating available to enjoy your meal.
