As a key player in global shipping, the Philippines is faced with the challenge to keep up with evolving global maritime dynamics, navigate emerging threats, and foster potential opportunities. With this, the Joint Maritime Committee of the Dutch, French, German, Italian, Nordic, and Norwegian Chambers of Commerce in the Philippines is organizing the first Joint Maritime Conference: The Philippines in Global Shipping: Future Opportunities and Threats. The conference will bring together maritime experts, industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to engage in critical dialogue on three key themes:

3. The World's Leading Supplier of Crew—Now and in the Future? - A comprehensive look at the Filipino seafarer's role in the global workforce, including training, competitiveness, and economic impact.
