- **Event Description**: In this celebration of arts education, 4 L.A.-based teaching artists perform original monologues rooted in personal & cultural experiencesAbout this EventThe Art of Dreaming: a landscape of L.A. voices is a live theatrical production featuring four professional writer-performers, all teaching artists connected to About…Productions’ Young Theaterworks programs, who will write and perform original monologues rooted in their personal, cultural, and L.A.–based experiences. Young Theaterworks is celebrating its 25th anniversary of unique and impactful programs that inspire and transform public high school students. The production explores dreaming as a poetic and active practice—how individuals imagine identity, belonging, perseverance, and future possibility. Solo monologues are expanded through movement and shared stage presence, and are interwoven with a sound design featuring student monologues developed through LAUSD and PUSD residencies (2020–2025). Existing in a liminal, threshold-like space between inner reflection and collective expression, The Art of Dreaming creates a layered theatrical landscape where individual voices connect and personal dreams shape a shared vision for the future. PERFORMANCE DATES/TIMESSaturday, March 28th: Doors open at 7:30 PM, show at 8:00 PMSunday, March 29th: Doors open at 1:30 PM, show at 2:00 PM; fundraiser and silent auction to follow!TICKETS$30 at door; $25 online; $20 students/seniors/veteransFREE PARKING AVAILABLE AT VENUE
