- **Event Description**: In this workshop, ecological artist Paige Emery will introduce participants to saving, cultivating, and germinating seeds.About this EventParticipants will learn seed-planting techniques and have the opportunity to make clay seed balls, which they can use to grow native California flowers at home.Special guest Dr. Danielle Stevenson, executive & science director and founder of the Centre for Applied Ecological Remediation (CAER), will join us to discuss soil health and provide a basic understanding of laboratory results of soil contaminant tests.The session will also include meditative tea ceremony, during which Paige will focus on the theme of dreaming towards building a new world together with the Earth.This hands-on event will take place partially outdoors. We ask participants to please bring water, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat, and to wear clothes they don’t mind getting dirty. Bringing notebooks and pens or pencils is also encouraged.Tending Ecologies is a workshop program about caring for the land around us and the landscape of our bodies. Each session engages with ideas of release, nourishment, attention, and renewal in resonance with Earthly cycles and practices of bioremediation, bioregional herbalism, ecological art and sound, and healing arts.Attendance at past workshops is not a requirement for joining.Fulcrum Arts thanks CAER for their presence at this event.
