HUMMINGBIRD CANTINA ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
Presented by The Gamble House and Pasadena Audubon Society
Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 10:30am – 1:30pm
at The Gamble House (garden and rear terrace)
FREE drop-in event – All are welcome!
Join Pasadena Audubon Society (PAS) and The Gamble House in celebrating the one-year anniversary of the Hummingbird Cantina’s new home! After being displaced by the Eaton Fire, the PAS Hummingbird Cantina relocated to the Nancy Greene Glass Memorial Garden behind the Gamble House Bookstore in early 2025. One year later, we gather in appreciation of our resilient community and our fast-flitting friends, the hummingbirds.
Drop by The Gamble House on Saturday, March 14th for a morning of birdwatching, binocular crafting, and more followed by a hummingbird lecture from Dr. Eric Strauss of the Center for Urban Resilience. We will be raffling some avian-inspired prizes to benefit the Hummingbird Cantina. All ages and birder experience levels are welcome at this free event.
10:30am-1:30pm – Stroll through the Hummingbird Cantina and build-your-own pair of binoculars with Pasadena Audubon
10:30-11:45am – Join a Pasadena Audubon guide for a beginner binocular class and bird walk around the beautiful Arroyo Terrace neighborhood
12:00pm – Learn all about the awe-inspiring biology of hummingbirds in Dr. Eric Strauss’s lecture Hummingbirds: Ecology of an Extremophile
12:45pm – Win a bird feeder, Audubon swag, and more at the raffle draw!
12:45-1:30pm – Book signing for Dr. Eric Strauss’s book Hummingbirds of the Gottlieb Native Garden
