Herb Walk & Foraging for Tea

Join us for a morning herb walk & craft a fresh, bioregional tea together!

What to expect: We’ll meet at Hahamongna Watershed Park in Pasadena for a slow, intentional walk through one of our region’s most special riparian–chaparral ecotones. Together, we’ll learn to identify our local plant kin, and mindfully gather a small amount to try as tea at the end of our walk. We’ll make stops along the trail for plant ID, sensory observation, and teachings about traditional uses.

This offering invites you to connect deeply with the watershed, learn ethical foraging basics, and experience how simple, everyday plants can support grounding, resilience, and reciprocity.

Difficulty Level: 3/10 mostly flat with gentle inclines. Expect uneven terrain, sandy stretches, and optional off-trail exploration.

What to bring:
A notebook or nature journal, pen or pencil, sun protection, a light snack, and plenty of water to stay hydrated. Dress comfortably for cool December mornings.

All levels of plant knowledge, all ages, and friendly dogs on leash are welcome.

Hahamongna can get busy on weekends, please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to find parking.
