She is cofounder of the Pasadena City College Family Resource Center, teacher in UCLA’s xOpen series, and the toddler expert for The Family Room.Laura Birek is a writer, podcaster, storyteller, and mom to two young boys. She has written for Parents Magazine; O, The Oprah Magazine; The Los Angeles Times; Shondaland; and xoJane, among others.
