Hirahara will be joined by PMH Visitor Services and Outreach Manager, Christian Rodriguez to discuss how photographs and materials from the PMH collections helped inspire the novel and shape its vivid portrayal of Pasadena in 1903. The conversation will also explore the power of historical fiction—how it can illuminate overlooked histories and influence a popular narrative of the past.
