Buried in Treasures – 16-Week Workshop Information

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed by clutter, struggle to find things you need, or feel anxious about your space — you’re not alone. Many people face similar challenges, and there is a way forward.

The Buried in Treasures workshop is a confidential, closed group designed to support individuals who struggle with chronic disorganization or hoarding challenges. Only registered participants may attend, and maintaining confidentiality is essential to ensure a safe, trusting environment for everyone.

Prior registration and approval are required.

Program Goals

Throughout this 16-week journey, participants will learn to:

1. Understand the reasons behind saving and acquiring
2. Create functional, comfortable living spaces
3. Find and access belongings more easily
4. Strengthen decision-making skills
5. Reduce acquiring and discover fulfillment in other activities
6. Decrease clutter and increase peace of mind

About the Workshop

Research shows that participation in the Buried in Treasures (BIT) workshop can significantly reduce symptoms of hoarding, decrease clutter, and improve participants’ ability to use and enjoy their homes.

But this workshop is about much more than clutter—it’s about people, experiences, and change. The items we hold onto are often just the visible part of a deeper story. Together, we explore what’s beneath the surface—the emotions, memories, and beliefs that make letting go so difficult.

This process is not just about clearing space; it’s about creating a new way of living and relating to your surroundings. We’ll focus on:

• Mindful saving
• Prioritizing what to keep
• Letting go with compassion
• Making your space both safe and functional

Our goal is not to “get rid of everything,” but to help you build a comfortable, safe, and meaningful home.

By simply showing up, you’re already taking a powerful step toward learning, healing, and lasting change.

What to Expect

During the Buried in Treasures workshop, participants will:

• Connect with others who share similar goals
• Learn and practice effective strategies in a nonjudgmental environment
• Explore beliefs about attachment and acquiring
• Build motivation and maintain progress
• Discover that “it’s not about the stuff—it’s about what the stuff represents.”

Groups are intentionally small (typically 6–10 participants) to ensure personalized attention and support.
