- **Event Description**: Friends of Ouachita Trail is hosting our East End Maintenance Event and Scott Tarvin Shelter Dedication the weekend of September 26 & 27.  Everyone is welcome and we hope you are able to join us for all or part of the activities planned for that weekend, including:
 
September 26 & 27:
Camping at Lake Sylvia Campground on Friday & Saturday nights – the area around campsites 6, 7 & 8 and the grassy area around the lake has been reserved for FoOT for tent camping.
 
September 27:
8:00 A.M. - Trail Maintenance on Saturday morning – start with safety briefing at Lake Sylvia Campground and divide into work teams
2:00 P.M. – Group Hike (2 miles) from Lundsford Corner (Highway 300 – trail MM 212.2) to Scott Tarvin Shelter (MM 210.2)
3:00 P.M. – Scott Tarvin Shelter Dedication \ Celebrating Completion of our Shelter Network
6:00 P.M. – BBQ Dinner hosted by FoOT at Lake Sylvia Campground
