Cantautore eclettico e compositore raffinato, Harcourt è stato nominato al Mercury Prize a 24 anni per il suo album di debutto “Here Be Monsters”, prodotto da Gil Norton (Pixies, Foo Fighters, Counting Crows), è andato in tour con Wilco, R.E.M., Snow Patrol e Afghan Whigs, ha suonato con Patti Smith, Marianne Faithfull, Lana Del Rey, Mark Lanegan e Nick Cave, e ha annoverato tra i suoi fan artisti come Lisa Marie Presley, Flood e Jamie Cullum.

Il suo spirito sperimentatore lo ha portato ad alternare dischi di eccelsa fattura come “From Every Sphere” e “The Beautiful Lie” a composizioni cinematiche strumentali (“Beyond the Eye” e “Monochrome to Colour”) e colonne sonore (“S. Darko”, sequel di “Donnie Darko”), fino alla pubblicazione di due dischi in poco meno di due anni, gli splendidi “El Magnifico” del 2024 e “Orphic” del 2025, lavori che lo hanno riportato sotto i riflettori per la loro altissima qualità compositiva ed eleganza.
“Orphic”, uscito nel Novembre 2025, è un piccolo capolavoro dai toni invernali, intimistico ed epico allo stesso tempo, figlio di ispirazioni cinematografiche come “Orphee” di Jean Cocteau e la filmografia di David Lynch.
