See below for more info!About this EventThe Graduate Agriculture and Food Society is hosting an exclusive visit to Costa Group’s Mernda facility, the largest mushroom production site in the Southern Hemisphere, with over 20 million mushrooms harvested weekly! This 2-hour guided tour offers a comprehensive look at the entire commercial mushroom lifecycle. You also engage with industry experts in the Q&A session!Logistics and TransportationMeet 8:45 AM at Tin Alley pickup point directly in front of the university clubhouse to travel together. A private bus has been arranged to transport all attendees from the university to the Mernda facility. Please be on time or we might not wait for you and refund would not be guaranteed.Self-Driving InstructionsIf you choose to travel using your own vehicle (you still have to purchase the ticket and please let us know you are coming by yourself), you are welcome to meet the group directly at the mushroom farm. However, you must report to the site no later than 9:45 am to be included in the tour.
