- **Event Description**: The 2nd AUSPACS (formerly Australian Stuttering Conference) will be hosted in Melbourne, Australia from 26 to 27 November 2026.About this EventThis year, our conference theme is "Stuttering: Evidence, Practice, and Possibility".Designed for researchers and clinicians, this conference will showcase the latest local and international research and innovations that will inform clinical practice. The 2 day conference will comprise a curated schedule of keynote sessions, oral presentations, masterclasses and panel discussions.Keynote Sessions: Learn about emerging developments, clinical trends and insights that will shape the future of the field through compelling keynote lectures by distinguished experts.Oral Presentation Sessions: Gain insight into the latest research, ideas, and practices directly from experts and peers. These short, focused talks offer valuable insights and the opportunity to engage with presenters through live discussion and Q&A.Masterclasses: An immersive learning experience led by specialist clinicians/researchers. These sessions allow you to deepen your knowledge, develop practical skills, and gain insights that you can apply immediately in your clinical work or research.Panel Discussions: A forum for speakers to integrate knowledge across sessions and contextualise information for clinical practice.ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONSA core aim of AUSPACS is to encourage and advance stuttering research. Hence, this conference provides a high‑quality scientific forum for the dissemination and discussion of such work. All abstracts will undergo review for scientific quality. Clinically focused submissions should clearly articulate the relevance of findings and the underlying evidence base.All contributing authors will be acknowledged in the conference programme. Short research papers will be delievered by a single speaker (for exceptions please contact the organisers).We welcome abstract submissions in the following themes and presentation formats:Themes for Abstract SubmissionsStuttering Basic Science ResearchClinical Assessment and InterventionTranslation to Clinical PracticePsychosocial PerspectivesEducation, Innovation, Future PossibilitiesPresentation FormatsShort Research PaperShort Research Paper presentations will be allocated a 15‑minute presentation slot, followed by 5 minutes for audience questions (20 minutes total).MasterclassA limited number of Masterclass sessions (60 minutes) will be offered. These sessions are intended for specialist researchers or clinicians wishing to present an integrated body of work or clinical content that benefits from an extended presentation time. As there are a limited number of Masterclass sessions available, authors are encouraged to consider the short research paper format in addition to this option where appropriate.ABSTRACT SUBMISSION FORMATAbstracts should be approximately 400–500 words in length, and submitted in word document format. Provide a clear overview of the study or masterclass under the following headings:Short Research PaperTitle: Clearly indicate the research title.Authors/Affiliations: Write Surname, Name and superscript number for institution affiliationAims or research questions: State the purpose of the study.Methodology: Briefly describe the design, participants, and measures.Key findings: Summarise the main results or outcomes.Conclusions: Highlight the primary conclusions and implications for clinical practice and/or future research.MasterclassTitle: Clearly state the title of the Masterclass.Authors/Affiliations: Write Surname, Name and superscript number for institution affiliationRationale and aims: Explain the significance of the topic and the session’s key objectives.Content overview: Outline the main concepts, methods, or material to be covered.Evidence base and expertise: Describe the research, clinical experience, or scholarly work underpinning the session.Audience and outcomes: Identify the intended audience and the expected learning outcomes.Format and engagement: Indicate how the session will be delivered and how participants will be actively involved.Abstract submission deadline: 30 June 2026Please submit your abstract via this email address: auspacs@unimelb.edu.auFollowing notice of abstract acceptance, the presenting author must register for and deliver the presentation in person.
