Join us for the 6th Annual Cardboard Boat Race, where creativity, teamwork, and a little bit of duct tape take center stage! This end-of-summer tradition is fun for the whole family to watch as young captains race their homemade cardboard boats across the pool.

Who: Ages 5–15
Boat Material Pick-Up: Anytime after August 1
Race Day: Saturday, August 29, 2026
Check-In: 9:30–10:00 AM
Racing Begins: 10:00 AM (estimated finish at 12:00 PM)

How it Works:

Build your boat using the official materials and rulebook provided by PC Recreation.
Each registered participant receives:
📦 3 XL cardboard boxes
🩶 1 roll of duct tape
🏅 A participant medal for every captain
Races will run back-to-back, with time between heats to make repairs before the next round.

Race Format:

🥇 The top boat from each heat advances directly to the championship race.
💪 All remaining boats get one more chance in the Grudge Match to earn a spot in the finals!

Registration Deadline for Starter Materials:
Register by the end of the day on August 20 to receive your official starter kit (3 XL boxes and 1 roll of duct tape). Registrations after August 20 are still welcome and will receive the welcome packet by email, but starter materials will not be provided.
