Join us to learn how to be aware of them and mitigate any tricks they can play on us. The event is a classic pub quiz—with a twist. Participants will form teams that are randomly assigned on the day to mix things up and encourage new connections.The quiz follows the I-SHAPE framework (Inclusive Community, Skills for the Future, Health & Wellbeing, Aid & Basic Needs, Protect the Planet, and Engagement of Civil Society), with 2–3 questions per impact area. The idea is to show how, in each area, we can act more deliberately and effectively once we understand the tricks our brain plays on us.Between the question rounds, short explanatory segments will provide some background:Why do we develop these biases?How can we counteract them?What can we do when we notice these dynamics in real life?To deepen the learning, participants will also receive educational resources with practical tools and insights. And at the end of the night, there might even be a small prize for the winning team. ?The evening invites conversations about privilege, power dynamics, and what drives (in)action, and we hope they’ll carry on well past the quiz, over a cold beer and great company.This event is open to all.
