✏️ Formés en 1997, The Dillinger Escape Plan se posent en précurseurs du mathcore et gravissent rapidement les marches pour devenir un groupe culte de la scène metal notamment avec leurs riffs agressifs et complexes qui redéfinissent les standards du genre. 

A ses débuts, le groupe signé chez Relapse Records qui réunit Ben Weinman à la guitare, Adam Doll à la basse, Dimitri Minakakis au chant et Chris Pennie à la batterie, frappe fort d’emblée avec deux EP remarqués. Puis en 1999, les Américains sortent Calculating Infinity, un premier album qui devient emblématique et les propulse sur le devant de la scène underground. 

En 2002, Greg Puciato rejoint le groupe au chant, marquant ainsi une nouvelle ère avec des albums majeurs comme Miss Machine en 2004 ou encore One of Us Is the Killer en 2013. Chaque sortie est l’occasion pour The Dillinger Escape Plan d’affirmer un peu plus son identité brute et sa précision chirurgicale. 
Avec leurs live intenses, ils deviennent l’un des groupes les plus respectés du metal moderne. 

Cependant en 2017, près de vingt après les débuts, TDEP annoncent leur séparation… Pour mieux revenir en 2023 et fêter les 25 ans de leur premier album mythique. Et cerise sur le gâteau, c’est Dimitri Minakakis qui est de retour au chant ! Lui, Ben Weinman, Liam Wilson, James Love et Billy Rimer sont plus que jamais prêts à en découvre de nouveau…
