Drawing on practices such as walking and weaving, it explores how knowledge is not located solely in the mind but is generated through the relationship between body, materiality, and environment.Bringing together Andean cosmologies, contemporary thought, and personal experience, the talk traces memory as it is inscribed in territories, rocks, trees, soil, and textiles, understanding these elements as living archives where different times,forms of knowledge, and ways of life become intertwined.Through this exploration, the talk suggests that remembering is not about retrieving information from the past, but about reactivating relationships that remain alive in the present. Walking and weaving thus emerge as practices of knowledge that allow us to inhabit the world through attention, interdependence, and care.Camila Rodríguez Triana is a visual artist and filmmaker whose distinctions include the Best Art Installation Award at Panorama 21, Le Fresnoy (France), and the Emerging Artist Award at the Rencontres Artistiques, Carré sur Seine (France). She was selected as Carrie Mae Weems’s mentee for the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative (2020–2022). Her work has been presented internationally at institutions and venues such as the National Museum of Contemporary Art (Greece), the Salon de Montrouge (France), and BAM Fisher, New York (USA), among others. Her films have been screened at major international festivals, including the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, Doclisboa, and FIDMarseille.This event will take place in Reid Hall’s Grande Salle Ginsberg-LeClerc, built in 1912 and extensively renovated in 2023 thanks to the generous support of Judith Ginsberg and Paul LeClerc.The Rendez-Vous de l’Institut Series is generously supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.This event will be recorded and may be broadcast as part of our SNF Rendez-vous de l’Institut podcast series.
