L’effondrement actuel de la civilisation est beaucoup plus supportable avec un groove relevé, comme s’en est rapidement aperçu le collectif belge Lézard. Sous la géométrie fonctionnelle de ce quintette bouillonne une frénétique hystérie : un Boogie Wonderland pour les excentriques, les marginaux et les âmes perdues dont on ne peut s’empêcher de faire partie.

Grâce à un son élaboré dans l’esprit de Devo, The Contortions, LCD Soundsystem et l’ancêtre belge Telex, Lézard a déjà fait tourner de nombreuses têtes avec ses frasques d’art punk à la mode disco. Le groupe affiche son intelligence pop et criarde comme un costume trois-pièces trop étroit au plus chaud de l’été.

Avec l’exercice de voltige Nothing At All et le morceau Coltrane & XTC aussi sordide que char-mant en guise de salves d’intro, Lézard s’est révélé être une créature qui évolue rapidement.
Cette année, le groupe infiltrera de nombreux lieux de prédilection avec ses torrides performances live, tout en s’attelant à l’écriture de nouveaux titres cet automne.
