Geologies of Absence
The exhibition Geologies of Absence is a meditative process that helps us delve into the world that remains after the erosion of presence. The exhibition traces the material and emotional layers of disappearance – landscapes, bodies and histories as they slowly dissolve into the final silence. Through drawings and paintings, the artist explores the void left behind by withdrawal, extinction and forgetting. However, these works do not actually depict absence, but rather give it texture, form and resonance. The sediments, dust and data become geological witnesses – records, memories of an Anthropocene world embedded in landscapes, plants, stone and signs.

À propos de l’exposition Géologies de l’absence est une démarche méditative qui invite à explorer ce qui subsiste après l’érosion de la présence. L’exposition retrace les strates matérielles et émotionnelles de la disparition — paysages, corps et histoires — qui se dissolvent lentement dans le silence. À travers dessins et peintures, les artistes explorent le vide laissé par le retrait, l’extinction et l’oubli. Ces œuvres ne représentent pas l’absence, mais lui confèrent texture, forme et résonance. Les sédiments, la poussière et les données y deviennent des témoins géologiques : archives et mémoires d’un monde anthropocène, inscrites dans les paysages, les plantes, la pierre et les signes.
