With the cold weather and busy holiday schedules moving in quickly, we invite you join us for an immersive one-day workshop focused on strengthening your relationship with your horse on a deeper level from the ground-up. We will discuss the psychological and bio-mechanic impact that softness has on the horse, teaching them to willingly unlock points of tension and learning to work off of the lightest of aids. This helps gain flexibility and relaxation through every part of their body, and most importantly in their mind. This work will improve cadence and softness in movement as well as willingness to try new things without resistance or panic. Watch problems such as head shyness, bad manners, and anxiety melt away as the horse learns how to unlock their mind to learning and trust you on a new level. We will cover basic-advanced exercises as well as introduction to several in-hand obstacles to challenge what they’ve learned. The exercises we will cover in this clinic are great for short sessions throughout the winter season to offer productive downtime to a performance horse, the perfect start for youngsters not yet under saddle, those lacking confidence, basic ground manners, problem horses or those coming back from injuries or track life (this is EXCELLENT for high tension OTTBs)
The clinic will be located in the beautiful indoor arena at Valkyries Haven. Choose Saturday OR Sunday. Each day will start @ 9:30am with a brief cowboy church session complete with coffee and donuts in a heated classroom. Clinic will run from 10am-3pm with a lunch break at noon (included in cost of clinic for participants and auditors). Contact Jessie Lunsford via text at 704-794-3508 to sign up or if you have questions.
Clinic Cost:
$200/day for Participants
$35/day for Auditors
*limited to 8 participants per day*
