A wonderful Winter hike with snow and more!
Hike off the Tahqua Trail Road along the Tahquamenon River. Meet at the 'Hunt Club' corner just west of Snug Harbor on Tahqua Trail Road. (34482 Tahqua Rd, Eckerman, MI 49728) Plans will be finalized depending on conditions the day of the hike. Distance will be determined by your abilities and willingness to cover the trail. In other words, there may be hikes of several lengths depending on who shows up. Come and experience Winter and all her beauty!!
As an example of some of the distances that could be hiked: there is a trail head 1.75 miles west of the meeting place and Lynch Creek is 2.25 miles west. Out and back hiking would make that 4.5 miles - not bad for snowshoeing. Of course, one could choose to turn around at any point along the route.
