- **Event Description**: We are humbled to share that Muskaan Care Trust NZ is continuing to lead awareness and educating Systems and New Zealanders to get to know and be aware of Invisible Disabilities, Genetic Blood Disorders (Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Anemia) the #GlowRED4ThalNSIckleCellNZ Campaign 2026, a meaningful initiative dedicated to supporting individuals living with thalassemia & Sickle Cell. 
We warmly invite you to register and participate, either with us or through the NZ Blood App, and encourage your family and friends to join this life-giving effort. You may also choose to dedicate your blood or plasma donation (from now until 30th June 2026) to Muskaan Care Trust NZ, supporting this noble cause and marking International Thalassemia & Sickle Cell Awareness Days 2026 in a truly impactful way.

Join the #BringSickleCellAnaemiaToLight movement! This 19 June World will shine RED to ensure that people affected by Sickle Cell Anemia are hidden no more!
2026 theme ‘’Hidden No More: Finding the Undiagnosed, Supporting the Unseen’’, the initiative draws attention to those who remain invisible: individuals living with undiagnosed Sickle Cell & thalassemia, patients whose needs are overlooked, and communities without adequate access to diagnosis, care, and long-term support.
Public Awareness, sparks Conversation, and invites Societies to confront the realities of invisible disabilities, particularly gaps in prevention, early diagnosis, equitable care, and sustained policy support. Beyond its visual impact, the initiative serves as a quiet yet persistent call for stronger health systems, inclusive policies, and patient-centred reforms. By bringing into the public eye,  helps ensure that no one affected by the condition remains unseen.
Starting May -June 2026, we are organizing a series of blood donation drives (?❤️) at NZ Blood Centers and through mobile units. Each contribution carries the power to save lives - helping provide the three weekly transfusions that many children and individuals with thalassemia depend on to survive and live with dignity.
