We’re excited to announce that Southern Path parkrun will be hosting our very first Pacer Day and we’d love you to be part of it!

Whether you’re chasing a PB, aiming to run more evenly, or just want a steady guide to get you around the course, pacers are a brilliant way to help everyone have a great run or walk.

? Pace ranges planned:
We’re aiming to cover times varying between 20 and 45 minutes, so there’ll be something for a wide range of participants.

?‍♀️ Calling for volunteers!
To make this event happen, we’ll need extra volunteers to act as pacers. If you can comfortably run at a steady pace and would like to help others achieve their goals, this is a fun and rewarding role. No pacing experience required just enthusiasm and consistency!

Please comment below or message the Southern Path parkrun page to let us know if you are happy to help as a pacer and your preferred pace/time. You will also gain a pacer volunteer credit.

As always, parkrun is free, friendly, and for everyone walkers, joggers, runners, and volunteers alike. Let’s make this first pacer event a memorable one! ?

Note: We’ll try to cover as many pacer times as possible, but not all slots may be filled. The pacer event will still go ahead even if some times aren’t covered.
