Matariki hunga nui is grounded in the familiar setting of the kitchen table, holding the kōrero, stories, and connections shared when whānau come together over kai. Made from materials gifted by loved ones, the works become vessels of hononga, reflecting family, community, and connection.

Join us at 11am on Saturday, 11 July 2026, for the official opening of Matariki hunga nui as we welcome the Māori New Year.

Please note: The exhibition will be open for viewing from 11 July and runs through until 22 August 2026.
