# Event Details - **Event Name**: Ecstatic Paonia Rhythm Sanctuary Dance Benefit for Dark Skies of the North Fork - **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 24 Jan, 2026 at 06:00 pm - **Event Description**: Ecstatic Paonia Rhythm Sanctuary Dance is back this Sat the 24th for a very special dance this session as benefit for the Dark Skys of the North Fork with a portion of proceeds going towards this organization for it’s continued work to keep our sky’s dark and light pollution free in the North Fork Valley. We gather this Saturday at 6pm at the Blue Sage Center for the Arts in celebration of embodiment and free form movement with The Rhythm Alchemist playing tunes for us in this all ages dance class that is an alcohol free event open to all, young and old alike! This session is special in that we will hear a short presentation by Dark Skies about the work that they do and we will also have our VJ LowRez sharing some visuals made from images of our glorious Dark Skies! We’ll start the eve at 6:00 with a short presentation from Dark Skies about their work here and then our intention circle. As we move and embrace the deep rhythmical melodies that have the ability to transport us through a melodic and hypnotic electro trance with atmospheric yet grounding soundscapes, sometimes otherworldly and sometimes ethnic or atmospheric, the goal is to listen to your inner voice on how to move with the guidelines of no talking one the dance floor, be respectful of other’s space and if you’d like to dance with someone, respectfully be aware of body language. Ecstatic Dance is a non religious dance celebration that is an alchohol free, all ages, free movement, embodiment practice that is great for young and old alike, LGBTQ2 friendly and a great practice for those in recovery and seeking expression and personal practices supported by commUnity. Please join in the opening and closing circles as this is a part of this practice with the intentions set and shared before and after creating a container for growth for you in community. No one obligated to share in these circles, yet all are given to he opportunity to share and get in touch with their personal voice as well as their personal power, for we all have wisdom to share. There is a magic that happens when we move our bodies in a free way and speak our thoughts and dreams into existence afterwards. This is an All ages, substance free dance! Kids 15 and under are free! All others $13-20 donation at the door.
