After the overwhelming success of our first Senior Day, we had to bring this back for April! If you’re 60 or older, we invite you to stop in for a free lunch, good conversation, and a relaxed afternoon together.

This is an informal, drop-in event. Come when you can, stay as long as you’d like. We’ll have games available, plenty of seating, and a welcoming space to gather and enjoy a meal together.

What’s for Lunch?
On the hot bar we’ll be serving:
• Chicken Pot Pie or Portobello Mushroom Pot Pie Casserole

We’ll also have:
• Hot soups (to be announced)
• Made-to-order sandwiches

You may choose:
• Our soup & sandwich special, or
• One plate from the hot bar + a drink (lemonade, tea, or coffee)

Senior Lunch Program Sign-Up
While you are there, you can also sign up for our Senior Lunch Program, which includes:
• 10 free lunches (redeemable once per week on Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays from 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM)
• 10 “Bags of Basics”

A sample Bag of Basics may include:
? Vegetables
? Fruit
? A pantry item (such as jelly or peanut butter)
? Eggs
? Bread

To get started, simply fill out a short application at the Co-op. Eligible participants will receive a lunch card valid for 10 meals. Cards expire after one year or when all 10 meals are used. Please note: The program is limited and available as funding allows.

This initiative is made possible through the collaboration of Lost River Co-op, Orange County Food Trust, and Orange County Community Gardens ?
