Passio Secundum Matthaeum

As part of its Holy Week programme, Cappella Sanctae Catharinae presents a world premiere: a new setting of the Passion according to Saint Matthew by A. Vella Gregory. This new setting brings together liturgical tradition, polyphony, the drama of Baroque oratorios, and a contemporary approach.

This world premiere will take place in the Capuchin Friary Church in Floriana - a church that stands as a reminder of the suffering and destruction brought by war.
