Intronisé «Chief Scout» par la communauté légendaire Yellow Pocahantas Hunters Tribe à la Nouvelle Orléans en 2023, l’artiste pluridisciplinaire Smaïl Kanouté poursuit depuis ses travaux de recherche sur la culture des Black Indians.
Pour cette performance, il invite le créateur d’univers sonores Ibaaku.
Une collaboration mêlant l’héritage des Black Indians aux coutumes africaines, s’inspirant des masques traditionnels de la Casamance et des sonorités d’Ibaaku, lui-même originaire de cette région du Sénégal.
