Get cozy with us as the weather cools down!
Join instructor Ashley Paul as she teaches color theory and basic techniques to get students started in the art of watercolor. Students will paint a cozy sweater weather themed painting, and learn color theory, blending, layering, etc, all in one workshop!
Basics of Watercolor Painting
-Using watercolor paper to explore blending , layering of colors
-Apply color wheel knowledge for shadows & highlights
-Learn brush strokes & techniques (wet on dry, wet on wet, dry brush, etc)
-Talk about which tools and materials are best for this medium
Practice & Review Techniques
-Review basic techniques & implement them into paintings
-Learn light sketching and pencil work under watercolor pieces
-Use learned techniques to create new pieces of art
Create A Work Of Art
-Use all techniques learned to create a painting
-Encourage students to keep learning and practicing
**Students will be responsible for their own brushes. Any variety pack of Watercolor brushes will be acceptable.**
