From mastering the Flip Cup, Ring Pour, and Dutch Pour to learning color theory, paint recipes, and pro tips for stunning cells and embellishments, you’ll create a beautiful 8x10 masterpiece each week—all supplies included and no experience needed.
Week One, Saturday March 14 - An Introduction to Paint Pouring & the Flip Cup
- Basic information will be shared, including the discussion of cost
- Advice on an inexpensive way to see if you're interested in pursuing this hobby
- A demonstration of the Flip cup technique
- You will create your own 8x10 to take home
- All supplies are included.
Week Two, Saturday March 21 - Base Coats, Layering Paint, Color Theory & Ring Pour
- Share Instructor experience and understanding of working with colors and pouring
- A demonstration of the Ring pour technique
- You will create your own 8x10 to take home
- All supplies are included.
Week Three, Saturday March 28 - Tools, Techniques, & the Dutch Pour
- Discuss the different tools you may use, sharing the Instructor's expertise with different techniques
- A demonstration of the Dutch Pour technique
- You will create your own 8x10 to take home
- All supplies are included.
Week Four, Saturday April 4 - Mixing Paints, Recipes, Recommendations, Questions & Answers, and Embellishments
- A Paint Mixing demonstration
- A list of recommended artists to follow
- A discussion about using your creativity to go a step further, add embellishments, experiment with things, create a journal
- Instructor recipe for paint that she has used successfully for over 2 years
- You will create your own 8x10 to take home
- All supplies are included.
Saturdays, March 14-April 4 • 3-4pm
Ages: 12+
Cost for Full Series: $140 Member / $180 Not-Yet-Member
Cost per Class: $35 Member / $45 Not-Yet-Member
Be sure to dress appropriately for this class. You will be working with liquid acrylic paints, so there is the potential to get it on your clothes, shoes, etc.
