You’ve mastered the fundamentals—now let’s make things interesting. Join us while instructor Ashley Paul paves the way for us to step beyond the basics and explore complex stitches and patterns that will stretch your skills and spark your creativity.
In this class, we will learn:
-How to read & follow more intricate patterns
-New complex stitches & techniques (e.g., shell stitch, puff/bobble stitch; front & back post ribbing)
-Seamless color change (mid project)
-Mastering increasing and decreasing
-How to follow a chart pattern
-Take on bigger projects with confidence
We will take all the beginner knowledge you've learned and introduce some more complicated techniques to take your skills to the next level.
The first class we will make clover granny squares, and from there we will take our new skills and learn how to draft a hexagon granny sweater or other large project of your choosing.
Beginner skills are required for this class
Your own material are recommended:
-yarn of your choosing (recommend bringing a neutral or white/cream color & green yarn for clover
squares)
-multiple size hooks (or hook size to match your yarn choice)
-Yarn needle
-Small scissors (such as sewing scissors)
-Stitch markers are very helpful but not always necessary. They can be a great little tool for beginners
(Bonus materials to have on hand: a ruler or cloth tape measurer)
