gentle, and has a big heart. Vocal Range: Tenor (Bb2-F4)

Sally Brown: Charlie Brown's younger sister who is sweet and innocent but can be selfcentered, skeptical, and absurdly intense. She has a crush on Linus and often
misinterprets his kindness. Vocal Range: Soprano (Bb3-A5)

Snoopy: Charlie Brown's imaginative and lively pet beagle. Snoopy has a wild
imagination, loves to daydream, and lives in his own fantasy world. Despite his quirks, he
is very loyal to Charlie Brown. Vocal Range: Tenor or Alto (C3-A4)
Note: This can be a female, male, or non-binary actor who must fit the vocal
range and can portray a dog. Physicality & dance experience helpful but not required.

Lucy Van Pelt: A bossy, crabby, self-important girl who often bullies others, especially
Charlie Brown and her brother Linus, in a misguided attempt to help. Despite her tough
exterior, she has moments of compassion, vulnerability, and insight. Vocal Range: Alto (G3-F5)

Linus Van Pelt: Lucy’s younger brother, who is intelligent and philosophical despite his
young age. He is almost never seen without his security blanket. He provides a lot of
the show’s wisdom. Vocal Range: Baritone (Bb2-E4)

Tap, soft shoes, or ballroom experience helpful but not required.
Schroeder: A piano-playing prodigy who is obsessed with Beethoven. He is the object
of Lucy’s affection, although he usually ignores her advances to focus on his music. Tenor (Bb2-Ab4) Piano experience helpful but not required.

Ensemble: Several actors may be cast in an optional ensemble and in swing roles. Ensemble characters such as Peppermint Patty, Marcie, Shermy, Franklin, Woodstock, and/or others from the Peanuts gang may be cast and included throughout the musical. Their vocal ranges can be varied within the ranges provided for the main characters to ensure a balanced sound.

Peppermint Patty (Optional Ensemble): A freckle-faced tomboy who is tough, kind, and gets a D- on every school assignment. She loves Charlie Brown and calls him 'Chuck'. Paty is the leader of a baseball team and Charlie Brown's rival manager.

Marcie (Optional Ensemble) Generally goodhearted, Marcie is intelligent and terrible at sports. She calls Peppermint Paty “Sir” (which Paty hates) and has a crush on Charlie Brown.

Shermy (Optional Ensemble) Easy-going and pleasant, Shermy is great at all the things that mater to Charlie Brown, especially sports.

Franklin (Optional Ensemble) The first Black character to appear in “Peanuts”. He is a voice of reason with a rational perspective compared to almost every other character's fears and flaws.

Woodstock (Optional Ensemble) Snoopy’s good-hearted little bird buddy-best-friend. Woodstock is loyal, intelligent, and physically and verbally expressive.
