His research blends diverse computational methodologies, including tools from infectious disease epidemiology and mathematical modeling.Nathan also frequently collaborates with public health agencies, such as the California Department of Public Health and the World Health Organization, and his work has a track record of being used to inform public health policy. He served as the lead writer for the WHO guidelines on control of schistosomiasis (2022) and strongyloidiasis (2024).He is affiliated with the Stanford Department of Medicine and the Department of Epidemiology and Population Health.
