- **Event Description**: Who:
•	All families are invited; however, the activities are most      appropriate for students in grades PK-3rd.
•	We will be able to take the first 60 total people. 

What
•	Our students will practice their literacy, art, and engineering skills through fun activities in the rooms at the Soar Lab and on the school bus. 
•	We will provide a snack at the Soar Lab for all participants. 
•	We will have a school bus take us from Blackburn; however, families can meet us at the Soar Lab. In that case, you will still complete a permission slip so that you are included in our counts.

When
•	Saturday, January 31st from 9:30am-12:15pm.
•	The bus will leave from Blackburn at 9:30am and return to Blackburn at 12:15pm.
•	We will be at the Soar Lab from 10:00am-12:00pm. 

Where
•	If riding the bus, please meet us at Blackburn. Please park in the staff parking lot and meet us at the cafeteria entrance. 
•	If meeting us at the Soar Lab, please still submit a permission slip and use the following address:
6413 9th St E, Bradenton, FL 34203

Why
•	Field trips help students build the background knowledge necessary to be better readers. They also help to make instructional content more engaging and fun. 
•	A Saturday family field trip allows us to keep our instructional minutes while still providing students with this opportunity.
