Meet what is sometimes known as the “ghost horse” of the southeast whose sounds started many stories throughout the Appalachians for its spooky sounds. While it is not a horse, it is a bird that the spirit of the horse! Come and meet our birds of prey and learn about these fascinating creatures that inspire myths, legends, and stories for the ages.

We will have bird-themed crafts, live animal encounters, and Chinese New Year treats and goodies. Ring in the new year with a hoot! It will be an extra special day with extra special fun--for the price of regular admission!

Enjoy the beautiful winter season around our campus which also includes trails, pond, access to waterfalls, and animals inside and out. Come and enjoy nature with us! (Pro tip: Winter is the BEST time to catch the vibrant colors of migrating song birds, birds of prey, and water fowl--so bring that camera or your binoculars for a hike!)

Local food truck, Snacks on the Go, will be on the campus to offer fresh food and drinks for purchase.
