The last time they played for us was a fantastic concert with a capacity crowd so I expect much the same this time. It will be a great night of nostalgia for the good old songs that these bands produced. I can still remember seeing the Bulldogs in a pub in Whanganui in about 1972 and what a great night it was. Hogsnort Bulldogs Goodtime Band www.hogsnortbulldogs.co.nz Still continuing to regularly perform an energetic and fun-filled show, a band that includes original stars from the sixties and seventies hit bands, Hogsnort Rupert and Bulldogs Allstar Goodtime Band, will be playing at The Bent Horseshoe, Hokowhitu Bowling Club, 279 Albert St, Palmerston North on Saturday 28 March at 7.30pm. Founding members, Dave Luther, Kevin Findlater and Neil Worboys, have collaborated with other great Wellington musicians to develop a new band called the “Hogsnort Bulldogs Goodtime Band”. The show’s song-list features all the bands’ great chart-topping hits from the era including ‘Pretty Girl’, ‘Miss September,’ ‘Aunty Alice Bought Us This’ and Everyone Knows’. Other well-known skiffle and jug band songs, blues, and popular standards are also featured in their two-hour live show. After sold out shows in 2024 and 2025, the guys are looking forward to performing a 7.30pm show at The Bent Horseshoe, Hokowhitu Bowling Club, on Saturday 28 March, 2026. The band has recently filmed a number of ‘simply amazing’ videos featuring many of the songs they’ll be performing and these can be viewed on the band’s website: www.hogsnortbulldogs.co.nz and on You Tube. Support act, Andrew and Kirsten London, are celebrated Kāpiti musicians and entertainers who’ve played everywhere from Dubai to Dannevirke.
