Just over a year old, "Buckley" is an absolute gem of a course that has been expertly integrated into the Buckley (ball) Golf Course in the rural town of Shannon. Shannon, in the North Island of New Zealand, is just over an hours drive from the capital city Wellington (with international airport) and is just a few kilometres off of the National SH1. Small town hospitality NZ at it's finest! Wanting to step in and help the NZDG find a venue for the 2026 North Island Champs, they enlisted the help of the event veterans at Disc Shop NZ. Course managers Jesse and Jonny will also be teaming up with the local disc golf club MTDG to help with logistics. The focus will be on a very well run, yet low key North Island Champs, highlighting a disc golf course that speaks for itself. 3 rounds over 3 days - 54 holes total PDGA B-Tier NZDG 60 Pointer FRIDAY PRACTISE DAY TIL DARK FRIDAY - Players meeting and quick fire evening event SATURDAY Round 1 Tee Times from 9am SATURDAY evening quick fire evening event SUNDAY Round 2 Tee Times MONDAY Round 3 Tee times - Event wrapped by 3.30pm Golf Club Bar open Food deals all weekend Feature rich course - do not miss event Most divisions will play at least 3 rounds of this f-bomb level, multi layout course. Whilst priority will be given to the 3 day registrations, if those spots sell out we will have spaces for those that can only make two days.
