They collect, care for and make accessible over 2,000 8mm, Super 8mm, and 16mm home movies, and more, created by locals and tourists to our area, that document Palm Springs, Coachella Valley, and Southern California more broadly. They have collector fever, so check out the 500+ digitized films and other ephemera on their website: https://desertedfilms.org/. They have presented educational — and entertaining, they hear! — programs to audiences in the Coachella Valley at such venues as: Palm Springs Cultural Center, Palm Springs Public Library, Modernism Week, Maleza, Salon for the Parched, Rotary of Indio, and other clubs.
