Supply List:

Bring what you already have of the listed supplies, Alleyn will have extras to try.

• Substrate: Bring your choice of preferred substrates such as gessoed watercolor paper, wood cradle boards, wood panels, canvas, etc.

• Brushes

• Matte medium

Acrylic paints in colors you like, please include titanium white and black and one metallic paint

• Acrylic palette

Texture mediums like: heavy body mediums, tar gel ,glass bead gel, texture paste (bring what you have already)

• Mark making tools: oil pastels, woody’s charcoal, pens, pastels etc.

• Spreaders like : silicone paint shapers, trowels, credit cards, rubber spatulas etc.

• Sandpaper

• Collage paper

• Geli plate papers

• Variety of paper to create your own papers: tissue paper, notebook paper, non-wax deli paper, colored paper, rice paper or others

• Stencils and stamps

• Water spritz bottle

• Scissors

• Apron

• Gloves

• Hair dryer if you have it

About the instructor: Alleyn is an award-winning contemporary artist originally from Portland OR and now resides in Palm Desert CA. She primarily works in mixed media using acrylic, collage, pastels and watercolors. Her unique and distinct style is collected internationally with works in the USA, England and Australia. She has been a teacher and a student of art for more than 40 years. She is currently member of Coachella Watercolor Society and Artists Council in Palm Desert where current work can be seen.
