First performed in Los Angeles in 1989, A Bronx Tale famously drew Hollywood’s biggest directors and producers, all eager to buy the rights. Palminteri turned them all down, determined to tell the story himself. That decision led to one of the most iconic collaborations in film history with Robert De Niro, and the rest is legend.
On stage, Palminteri inhabits 18 characters — from the tough-talking mob boss Sonny to the hardworking bus driver Lorenzo, and everyone in between.
