Below is a little back story about Mark
Mark & Lisa Canada owned Sharpe's Collision Center in Melbourne, Fl for the past 12 years.
Prior to their taking the business over, Lisa's father, Bill Sharpe, whom passed away in April
2024, owned the business for over 37 years. Being born and raised in Melbourne, Mark and
his wife, Lisa, are well known in our community for their automotive repairs and refinishing
work. In addition, Mark has performed Karaoke/DJ services in many locations such as
American Legion Post #117, Rooney's Restaurant, Satellite Beach Moose Lodge, Palm Bay
Moose Lodge, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Copper Chimney Restaurant, Lone Cabbage Fish
Camp, Camp Holly, Ashley's in Rockledge, Lou's Blues, Runaway Country Events and many
more. In February 2015, Mark suffered a V-Fib heart attack and died six times however
through the Grace of God, friends and family, he was able to recover. In July 2024, Mark was
diagnosed with Liver Cirrhosis, in which has forced him to retire at the age of 56 years old
as "disabled". Mark and Lisa were compelled to cease operations of their business,
resulting in significant financial hardship, in June 2025. Mark has been hospitalized
frequently since his diagnosis due to the severity of his illness. He requires assistance in
his daily activities, is unable to drive a vehicle due to his condition and can't be unattended
for any length of time. As a result, Lisa can't work outside the residence as she is taking
care of Mark due to lack of funds for home health care. Unfortunately, Mark will have to
undergo a process of medical tests as well as dental surgery prior to obtaining a liver
transplant. The physicians are making sure everything is taken care of prior to transplant to
reduce the infection rate and make this p r o c e s s a success. He has b e e n on t h e liver
transplant list since December 2024 with the expectation of undergoing transplant surgery
in Richmond, Va. at the beginning of the year 2026. Once he receives the liver transplant,
he will remain in hospital for 4-6 weeks and return home with continuing care until he is
fully recovered. Mark has given so much to so many people in our community throughout
the years, now we need to "Give Back" to Mark and Lisa, with any donations to assist them
with their living and medical expenses during this life altering event in their life. In addition,
any prayers for them and their family are also greatly appreciated.
Thank you and God Bless
