On Saturday, December 13th, park staff will be hosting an “open house” at 2609 North York Highway from 4:30-6:00PM CST. Come and celebrate 100 years of the general store/visitor center operations! 

Live Music will be provided by the New Stillhouse Reelers!

Short presentations will take place throughout the evening, highlighting the store's long past through period images. Learn about the early days of the store under Sgt. York's ownership, its service as a post office for the community, and finally, the transition to the park's visitor center in 2016. Explore the museum and learn about the many ways Sgt. York's story is shared here at the park today. In addition to the live music, hot chocolate will be available for guests to enjoy (while supplies last)!
