KMEA District 9 Jazz Weekend

The KMEA District 9 Jazz Weekend is a celebration of swing, soul, and student talent. Bringing together the region’s most passionate young jazz musicians, this event offers a weekend of intensive rehearsals, expert clinician instruction, and inspiring performances. Students selected through director nominations and auditions will collaborate in big bands developing improvisation skills and deepening their understanding of jazz artistry. All culminating in a high-energy concert that showcases the vibrant future of jazz in Eastern Kentucky.
