What’s Next? For Women is about building friendships and connections through doing.

Join us at the Mercure Paignton Hotel for a creative and relaxed morning hosted by Sally Tresidder from The Wobbly Potter. Together we’ll make simple but beautiful Christmas tree decorations and festive gift tags from air-dry clay.

Starts 11.30am, but why not arrive earlier if you can. Grab a drink, and maybe a festive bite, in the bar, and introduce yourself to others joining the event?

No formal talks. No business networking. Just real women learning, doing, and laughing together while raising money for Children’s Hospice South West.

These monthly sessions are inclusive, welcoming, and designed for women curious about what’s next ... those rediscovering old passions, trying new things, or looking to meet others who see them, and get what they're about.

Making friends as we get older gets harder. I’m not talking about friendly faces, I’m talking about real friendships.

For generations, the women of Torbay worked side by side: the fisherwomen, gutting and packing fish, talking and singing as they went. Their hands were busy, their eyes were down, and in that space they built friendships, confidence and courage together.

That spirit has inspired What’s Next? For Women (WNFW), a new community for women who want to connect naturally, by doing something side by side. Not through small talk, but through shared moments of learning, laughter and discovery.
