# Event Details - **Event Name**: 2026 JumpStart Summer Work Program - Business Partner Registration - **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 01 May, 2026 at 12:00 pm (-06:00) - **Event Description**: The Pagosa Springs Community Development Corporation (PSCDC) is excited to launch the 2026 JumpStart Summer Work Program, and we invite you to be part of it. For the past several years, this program has connected local students with valuable work experience while supporting businesses and helping build a stronger future workforce for our community. In previous years, PSCDC was able to reimburse businesses for intern wages through grant funding. Unfortunately, that funding is not available this year due to statewide workforce system changes and budget constraints. Even so, we are committed to continuing the program because we know how important early work experience can be for young people and how helpful it can be for local employers navigating staffing needs. This year, businesses have two ways to participate and may choose one or both: Option 1: Participate in the Hire Me Fair The 2026 Hire Me Fair will be held on Wednesday, May 13, at the Pagosa Springs High School Cafeteria. This event gives businesses the opportunity to meet students and other job seekers, share information about available positions, conduct brief on-site interviews, and schedule follow-up conversations. Business partner setup begins at 2:30 PM. All tables must be fully set up by 3:30 PM so we are ready to welcome students promptly at 3:45 PM. High school students will attend from 3:45 to 4:30 PM. The event will then open to the general public from 4:30 to 5:30 PM for anyone 18 years and older. Option 2: Host a Student Intern through the JumpStart Program Businesses may offer one or more paid or volunteer summer positions. PSCDC will help match available students based on your business needs and student interests. Student matching will begin in May for placements starting in June.
