6.30pm - We warmly welcome everyone with drinks and snacks
7.00pm - Award Ceremony for our Great Baling Twine Designs
7.30pm – Screening of the Rescued Hearts Documentary
9.30pm - Teas/coffees and tissues will be served along with hugs for everyone as we say our farewells

 The Great Baling Twine Design Awards 
If you happen to have some spare Baling Twine hanging up and would like to enter the Great Baling Twine Designs Awards you can! This is open to anyone. There are three categories. You can pick one or all three if you wish. Awards will be given to the most Creative, the most Outrageous and the most Useful Designs. You can enter as an individual or as a group. This fun activity is to promote Community Spirit and help everyone to tap into their creativity using this wonderful recyclable material. There is a special award for the young person or, group of young people – under the age of 16 years.
Your designs need to get to Lynda at 5 Emerald Glen Road, Paekakariki by 3 November 2025. Then, she will be holding a meeting with our esteemed judges. Cat Strom - Kapiti Equestrian Centre, Ray Lenaghan - Riverbank Vets and Alan Wehipeihana - well-known local Artist. These wonderful people will pick out which designs will be awarded. A display of the winning creations will be set up in the hall for everyone to enjoy. We greatly appreciate a variety of local businesses who are donating goods and services for our worthy award winners.
