🌿 Overview: This easy 2km loop offers scenic views of wetlands, farmland, and coastal vegetation.
✅ Know before you go
• Toilets: Yes – near the MacKays Crossing entrance and at other key spots.
• Water Play: No – The wetland is not suitable for water play.
• Accessibility: Information states this track is buggy, wheelchair, and bike-friendly however we note that if the track hasn’t been mowed, wheels will only go about halfway.
• Dogs: Please note that this area is a No Dogs zone
• Parking: Several car parks along the trail and main entrance.
📍 Access from 541 State Highway 1, Paekākāriki Wellington 5034. QE Park, Te Ara o Tipapa Wetland Loop meeting at the US Marine Corps carpark (keep driving along whareroa road past the tram museum on the right - Te Ara o Tipapa is on the left)
