The Purchase District Health Department (PDHD) invites the community to attend its June Neighborhood Farmer’s Market! The PDHD Neighborhood Farmer’s Market is held at the McCracken County Health Center, 916 Kentucky Avenue in Paducah from 2pm-6pm on the below dates. Our market is a Kentucky Proud Farmers Market. Each market features fresh produce from local farmers, food preparation demonstrations, giveaways, and health education activities for families and individuals of all ages. The market is for everyone! Each month we will have themes but everyone is encouraged to attend! Neighborhood Farmer’s Market Dates (2026): • June 25th (Fathers Focused) • July 16th (Children Focused) • August 20th (Recovery Focused) • September 17th (Preparedness Focused) • October 15th (Mental Health Focused) Our June 25th Market will be focused on fathers. Journey with Dad’s in June class schedule: • 2:00pm-3:00pm Positive Father Engagement The Commonwealth Center for Fathers and Families will highlight why positive fatherhood engagement matters at every stage of family life. Children with involved fathers are healthier, safer, and more successful, and mothers benefit through reduced stress and stronger family stability. The Center’s mission is to help fathers stay present and engaged. • Power of Produce (POP) Club Kids ages 4-12 explore fresh fruits and veggies, try new flavors, and learn where their food comes from. After participating, each child receives a $2 voucher to spend at the market. Open 2pm-6pm • 4:00pm-5:00pm ABC’s of Healing Feelings Lumera will provide an engaging presentation on men's and fathers' mental health that introduces the ABC’s of Healing Feelings—a practical framework for recognizing, understanding, and managing emotions in healthy ways. Participants will gain simple, actionable tools to strengthen emotional well-being, improve relationships, and build resilience for themselves and their families. Free Giveaways for Dads & Neighbors! Nicotine quit kits, Quit Now Kentucky Veteran giveaways, DIY bat boxes, mosquito repellant bracelets, bandanas, sunscreen, wildlife and trail guides, and seed growing kits! Plus other resources! There is even a chance to be entered in a drawing for a gift basket for Dads! You can spend your WIC FMNP here and earn WIC double dollars while funding lasts! Take Classes and Earn Vouchers Throughout the Season: Throughout the season classes will be offered. Completion of these classes will allow you to earn up to a $30 dollar voucher to be spent on produce at PDHD Neighborhood Farmer’s Market, while supplies last.
