A couple travels to Northern Europe to visit a rural hometown's fabled Swedish mid-summer festival. What begins as an idyllic retreat quickly devolves into an increasingly violent and bizarre.

One of the most sensational and gripping horror films of 2010s, RogerEbert.com called Midsommar a "a terrifically juicy, apocalyptic cinematic sacrament that dances around a fruitless relationship in dizzying circles." Helmed by Ari Aster, who had already announced himself with the horrifying and dark Hereditary, Midsommar is a floral and sunshine-fueled journey through the land of dread. 

The Paducah Film Society is Maiden Alley Cinema's own monthly movie club, screening classic, cult, and foreign films in western Kentucky. PFS is supported by Maiden Alley Cinema, WKMS, and local donors.
